10+ Years of Experience
Automotive
Bob brings 10 years of extensive automotive experience to AM Saxum and its clients. Bob has led numerous corporate process redesign and continuous improvement initiatives for strategic alignment, cost and cycle time reduction, and improved quality as part of a global initiative to reduce Chrysler’s vehicle product development cycle by 1.5 years.
This eight-year initiative affected over 140,000 employees among every organization, including Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, Labs, Procurement, Marketing, Finance, and HR. Bob also played a critical role in leading the organizational change management of the newly implemented processes. Bob received his Green Belt and Black Belt certifications through Chrysler, utilizing these skills to facilitate numerous Kaizen events that included all areas that influence products early in development to improve design and manufacturability and reduce waste prior to tooling kick-off.
Aerospace
Bob worked as a Systems Engineer at Boeing, managing sustaining waste system issues on 737/757 aircraft. This included working closely with customers, suppliers, and manufacturing departments to identify and root cause problems and develop sustainable solutions, which were tested on customer aircraft.
Bob performed Lean Six Sigma consultation in support of the implementation of a new ERP for Crestview Aerospace, analyzing impacted processes that included manufacturing, engineering, warehouse, procurement, and finance aspects.
Machinery & Equipment
Bob worked closely with manufacturing and engineering departments in order to develop best-in-class manufacturing and assembly processes at Chrysler with the goal of improving assembly and quality on the plant floor. This included analyzing defects and implementing solutions and controls to meet new quality standards.
Technology
10+ Years of Experience
Software Development
With a close friend, Bob developed FamilyMint, an award-winning financial literacy program for children focused on content-based learning and delivered through an online application. The business was created around lean principles from the virtual business structure, while utilizing agile software development, VOC, and continuous improvement to stay ahead of the competition.
The business was able to sell both B2C and B2B through numerous partners cobranding the product and offering it to their customers. A physical version was also developed to allow use by schools, which was provided free of charge by our cobranding partners. Bob successfully exited the business after selling it to a key partner in early 2017.
Hardware
With over 10 years of dedicated experience leading and driving process improvement and change across CDW, Bob understands the drivers behind large information technology companies. Bob built a corporate-wide Lean Six Sigma (LSS) program from scratch with the focus of driving people, process, and technology change throughout the organization. A major part of this was developing individual coworker skills around problem solving and change aptitude to increase business adoption and exponentially drive sustainable results.
Bob has trained, coached, and certified over 2,600 employees over his time at CDW in both LSS and Change Management, and through the Green Belt program he oversaw and identified over $340M in improvement opportunity and netted over $180M in cost savings and revenue.
Bob oversaw in-depth assessments of strategically focused areas while managing and setting direction on numerous cross-functional business transformation and change initiatives. This also included supporting the integration of national and international M&A integrations.
